 My speech topic is Hospitals. 

I choose this topic because of all of the covid 19 and that they have been so important helping patients.

When I presented my speech I felt a bit nervous but in the end I felt ok.

What I did well was do lots of eye contact.

What I need to work on is speaking a bit louder.

Speech Topic: Hospitals

Have you ever wondered why hospitals are so important? Well I have. Imagine what it would be like without hospitals - we wouldn't have anywhere to go for the injured or sick people. Hospitals take care of you and make you feel better than before. They do surgery if you have a problem or have broken something. I think hospitals are good because they take care of you and can even save your life. Here are my three reasons why hospitals are so important.

Firstly, hospitals are really good because they help you when you’re very sick or injured. Like if you have an accident and break your leg or arm or anything they will help you get better. If someone had broken their arm they would get an x-ray to see what was wrong. Hospitals keep you in the hospital if something isn't right like if you have swallowed a lot of water at the beach and had to go to the hospital they would try and get all the water out.

Secondly, when Corona Virus was all around New Zealand hospitals were the most important place because they were taking care of the people who had the Virus. All hospital staff around the world dressed up in masks and uniforms to stay safe while testing and operating on the patients. People were risking their own lives while helping others.

Finally, hospital doctors examine the patients so they can diagnose and treat all health conditions. Doctors in the hospital look at their patients to see if they have a disease like cancer, diabetes and coronary heart disease. If someone has cancer they would treat the patient and they would maybe get chemotherapy to help kill all of the cancer. Some people might also need operations to save their life or to help them continue to live their life. 

I strongly believe hospitals are important for New Zealand because they are always there, always helping people while risking their own lives and that is why I think hospitals are vital for New Zealand and other countries.

Whitney and Britneys chicken coop

We listened to the story Whitney and Britney the Chicken Divas. Yesterday we made a chicken coop for Whitney and Britney.  I have made the inside and outside of my chicken coop. Here is mine.

I have designed a fancy chicken coop for Whitney and Britney. I have put in fancy mirrors that make a beautiful reflection. I have also put in a double sized king bed so if they wiggle around they won’t have to worry about falling out of the bed. I have put in a very soft rug to make their feet nice and warm. I have put in a closet to put their fancy clothes and shoes in there.  They also have their favourite coloured wallpaper blue for Britney and pink for Whitney. And last but not least a very big desk to put all their things on.
